At least three Mobile Police (MOPOL) officers have been confirmed dead following a deadly early-morning attack on a Police Mobile Force camp in Tenebo community, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. when heavily armed assailants stormed the facility and opened fire, catching officers off guard. Two other officers were reportedly injured in the attack.
Residents of the area were thrown into panic as gunshots echoed through the community, forcing many to flee for safety.
The Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, confirmed the attack and stated that further details are still being compiled.
