According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake occurred at 6:16 p.m. local time at a shallow depth of about 8 kilometers. Its epicenter was located roughly 32 kilometers southeast of the coastal town of Dulag.
The tremor was felt across surrounding areas, and authorities have warned of possible aftershocks and potential damage. As of now, assessments are ongoing.
